Laurence is an environmental scientist with over 20 years' consultancy experience in Queensland.
He has extensive expertise in project management, client and regulator engagement, environmental legislation, environmental assessments, statutory approvals, monitoring programs, and technical reporting. Laurence has led multidisciplinary field and office-based teams across large-scale projects, including environmental impact assessments, environmental and offset management plans, EPBC Act referrals, and compliance monitoring programs.
His technical expertise includes aquatic and terrestrial ecology, water quality, contaminated land, and acid sulfate soils, and he holds accreditation in the Australian River Assessment System (AUSRIVAS).
Dr Christa Placzek
Principal Hydrogeologist / Geochemist

Christa is a highly qualified geochemist and hydrogeologist with over 20 years' experience across government, research, education, and consulting.
She specializes in geochemical analyses, hydrogeological conceptualisation, contaminant investigations, and integrated water management, and hydrogeological modelling. Christa has extensive experience in the sampling and interpretation of chemical and isotopic data from waters, soils, rocks, and biological materials, together with analytical hydrogeological modelling and hydroclimatological forecasts. She is recognised for delivering high quality technical reports and communicating complex scientific information to a broad range of stakeholders.
Between 2011 and 2019, Christa lectured at James Cook University in Earth and Environmental Geochemistry, Mine Site Rehabilitation, Geomorphology, and Hydrogeology.
Dr Stephen Lee

Stephen is a hydrogeologist with over 10 years of experience across the Australian resource, water, and environmental sectors.
His expertise includes hydrogeological assessments, groundwater monitoring, hydrochemistry and environmental tracers, groundwater-surface water interactions, and recharge assessments. Stephen recently completed a PhD at Charles Darwin University investigating groundwater recharge across Australia, resulting in the development of a national groundwater recharge database and continental-scale recharge map.
Stephen is particularly interested in understanding how groundwater and ecosystems interact, and applying this knowledge to improve water resource management and environmental outcomes.

His expertise includes threatened fauna surveys, macroinvertebrate, breeding place and habitat assessments, and advanced GIS analysis and ecological mapping to support environmental assessments and project planning. He is experienced in a range of field survey techniques, including camera trapping, spotlighting, and acoustic monitoring, together with environmental data management and technical reporting.
Lochlan has prepared environmental impact assessments, management plans, and development applications, consistently delivering practical, high-quality outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Jai specialises in groundwater monitoring, drilling supervision, bore and aquifer testing, hydrogeological assessments, conceptual model development, groundwater modelling, and technical reporting. He maintains a strong focus on delivering practical, technically robust solutions.

Dylan is an ecologist with five years of environmental consulting experience across Queensland, working primarily in the mining, renewables, and environmental offsets sectors.
He has extensive experience designing, coordinating and implementing flora and fauna surveys, including targeted surveys for threatened species, using a range of trapping, monitoring, and active survey techniques. Dylan is also experienced in vegetation community mapping using the BioCondition methodology and other vegetation assessments. Dylan is a practised drone pilot, having undertaken over 300 flights during his time at Terra Solutions. He also acts as Terra’s Chief Remote Pilot, ensuring efficient and compliant operation of the UAV fleet and timely delivery of high-quality aerial imagery to support environmental projects.
Dylan is also experienced in coordinating field programs, managing project logistics, and supporting the delivery of ecological assessments and reporting.
